Project
Week 4:
Several terms that name system unit components or their functions also have meanings in other contexts. For example, in the system unit, a bay is an open area used to install additional equipment; in geography, a bay is an open area of water, partially surrounded by land, that is used to anchor ships. Comparing these meanings can help clarify, and make memorable, a termÕs definition. Make a list of terms from this chapter that have meanings in other contexts. Next to each term, write its meaning in relation to the system unit, its meaning in another context, and the ways in which the meanings are, or are not, similar. List as many terms as possible, including compound words (such as motherboard) that have parts (mother and board) with alternate meanings.
